Chimera Specialization
Rank 1: Mixed Heritage
Universal Trait:
Can add the Framework special ability from any other framework, as a trait. Can only be done once per creation.
Rank 2: Mix and Match
Universal Passive:
All of your creations can have a little bit of Chimera traits added. You can add up to 2 traits from any other natural Framework, or any framework that has been added already. If you're creating a creature from scratch, any of the 2 free choices at the start can be used for this as well. If your original framework doesn't have the necessary limbs, they can be added as one of the traits. (So for two traits you could grow wings and gain flight, or a fish could grow arms, and gain claws.)
Rank 3: Cut and Paste
Universal Passsive:
When Copying a creature, you can copy only part of the creature if you so choose, or graft multiple creatures together, as long as you have their bodies available. So you could directly add a lion's head to a bird (gaining the lions senses, bite attack, etc.) Please note that some abilities may not translate to different body types as easily. Grafting giant wings to a whale may not make it fly well. Putting bulls-horns on a squirrel will not be particularly dangerous due to the small size. There is no added cost for copying/grafting a creature, other than the normal starting DC for copying a creature. If you are only grafting a part of a creature onto a normal creation, only you face the Increased DC for copying creatures.
Rank 4: Aided Chimeras
Universal Trait:
Spend one of your traits to prepare a creature for being a Chimera. Yourself and others working on the creature can now add an additional template simply as a single trait, rather than taking a -6 penalty. Each person working on the creature can add any template they have access to, and alchemists can double up. So if 3 people are working on the creation, it could be an insect, insect, insect, mammal, with no penalty. The framework special abilities generally do not stack.
