Metals (Transmutation)
This specialization is designed specifically to increase your control over various metals.
Rank 1: Metallic Shift
You can add metallic qualities to most materials. So you could take granite, or simple paper, and make the material more stiff, durable, and have a metallic sheen. Weapons or armor made with these materials have an extra 2 ranks of weapon or armor per rank of transmutation, and the original material used may have other effects, by GM discretion.
Rank 2: The Right Tool
When modifying Metal objects, you can make them better at their intended purposes. You can grant an item a bonus equal to your Transmutation ranks. This bonus applies to any skill or action directly related to the objects purpose. A sword would give it's bonus to attack rolls, a shield would give that same bonus to defense rolls. A metal pot would give a bonus to cooking rolls, but not defense rolls even if being used as a shield. If you are personally using it, this bonus doubles.
Rank 3: Implantation
Pre-built metals can be integrated into a creature during its creation. You could build claws of metal, and then replace the creatures normal claws, using the metal claws weapon strength. Or you could graft on metal plates to replace a creatures natural armor. This can only replace or enhance traits that the creature already had. So you couldn't add claws to a creature that didn't have at least one rank of claws originally.
Rank 4:Shifting Metals
Trait:
Your creations can mold metals around themselves. If they have metallic armor or weapons, they can absorb metals from around them, to rebuild, coat, or amplify their other enhancements. If they have metalworking skills, they can also use this to build new additions, spikes, armor plating, etc.
